Oxidized key-hole mug. 3.25"wide 4.75 tall
This mug features a Mesa Verde style shape and design. The key hole is true to the archaeological record although it is speculated exactly why they were added to handles. Perhaps to allow a thicker handle to dry more evenly and/or to allow the mug to be suspended by a cord. The key-hole shape is common in the ancient southwest and was sometimes used for door ways.
